Severium – How to Use a Rotary Pay Phone is a one-minute comedy short released on July 31, 2024. Starring Sev Fotschky and Alex Fotschky, the video plays with the generational gap between older analog technology and younger people who have grown up in a digital world.
The short uses the format of a simple how-to video, but the comedy comes from the awkward confusion of trying to use a rotary pay phone as if it were ancient technology. It reflects my interest in analog communication, forgotten media tools, and the humor that comes from seeing older technology through modern eyes.
